Here is some good information for you before you intend to make a trip to this paradise.

What’s time should go?

It’s depend on your time schedule but here is some good information for you to notes: If you want to feel the cold of Sapa and seeing the peach blossom bloom you should go to Sapa on January or Febuary: White pear flower bloom in the march; In May you will see the water falling in all rice terraces; Fruits season is on June to August; As September, you will see the monitory farmers collect the grains from the rice terraces.

Where must go?

The highlight lands of sa pa vietnam are the Fansifan peak, the Muong Hoa, Sa pả, Tả Phìn Valley, The monitory villages, the Ham Rong Mountain, the  Bac Ha Market. Surely for that you shouldn’t miss any of these above mentioned places.
Fansifan peak: Will be interested by the people who want to conquer the peak, not just discover, but affirm himself, needed at least three days 2 nights in good weather to climb to peak and back to the foothills.
- Muong Hoa, Sa Pả, Tả Phìn Valley: 10 kilometers away from Sapa town. This place has ancient rock carvings and mystery word motifs. At Muong Hoa valley, many travelers chose walking to exploring life and indigenous culture in both Lao Chai and Ta Van Commune, watching Muong Hoa waterfall winding through the beautiful terraced rice fields. Homes-stay in Tavan is an opportunity for those who want to be close the nature and human in the Northwest.
-Monitory villages trekking: An overview about how monitory families living and working. The sapa monitories mainly are H’mong, red Zao, Tay…Along the road, you can take a lot of beautiful shots, pass through impressive terraced rice paddies on the hill slopes, getting through  bamboo forest, a huge waterfall. Walking around the villages you will meet many women with their embroidery work to make their traditional dresses, occasionally you can see the blacksmiths making farming tools and even hunting riffles.
- HamRong mountain: The path leading up to Ham Rong Mountain consists of many stone steps and a winding trail higher up will help to see small streams lazily run through bushy foliages. About mid­way, you can find an orchid -garden with more than 400 species of colorful blooms (the flowers bloom in early febuary). Standing on the highest point of Ham Rong Mountain, tourists will have a breathtaking view over the romantic Sapa town. Ham Rong in spring is filled with colorful flowers blooming along the way through. The poetic and grandiose Ham Rong is said to be a fairy land of Sapa for its natural beauty as well as rich cultural value.
- Bac Ha Market: Bac Ha has one of the most interesting ethnic markets in Vietnam and possibly everywhere in South East Asia: “ Sunday is market day in Bac Ha, which is the occasion for the various local ethnics to gather in huge crowds to exchange the last news, gossip, shop, and eat a copious lunch. It was visibly a festive event. I was surrounded in a sea of color, and had the feeling to be on a movie set. Everyone seemed excited. A few men rode small horses.

Foods


Vegetable in Sapa is very fresh and delicious, If you go to vietnam sapa, you have to enjoy “Ngồng” boiled or sauted. Ngồng is part of the body pierced of old vegetable floral. There are many types of “ngồng”: garlic, kohlrabi, chayote…They are soft, sweet and crispy. Sapa is also very famous at “armpit pork” - Local free-range pigs which self-feeding, wiggle land to find foods. Whenever people need money, they catch a pig then grip in armpits brought to market. That is the reason why people called it “armpit pork). You should not ignore waterfall fish, sturgeon and Salmon. These dishes are serving everywhere in Sapa, you can eat in a restaurant, or small kiosk along the road.
